Born and raised in New Jersey, James' career as a writer and actor takes on a blue-collar sensibility combined with empathetic and grounded technique.

As a theatermaker, he's called many places home such as at Ithaca's Hangar Theatre, Steppenwolf, The 52nd Street Project, The Drama League, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, New York's Symphony Space. His writing has been produced and performed across the country, and he recently was a resident at Vivid Stage.

He is a Dramaturg with The New Jersey Play Lab, where he mentors young writers and supports established/emerging writers.

James graduated from Fordham University in 2019 with a B.A. in Theatre: Performance and an award for distinguished achievement. James is represented by UIA Talent Agency.
